The COMPLETE TREATMENT (Re-Growth and Anti-Hair Loss) is a cosmetic treatment for topical use that combines in a single package the two preparations. Crescina Re-Growth Hair Follicular Islands (amber vials) contain the core of Crescina Re-Growth (Cysteine, Lysine, Glycoprotein and Stem-Engine) and the special complex developed for the Hair Follicular Islands (Glycogen, Glutamyl-amido-ethyl-indole, Lupinus albus, Proline, Triticum vulgare Extract + Glycine max + Scutellaria baicalensis) to help the hair bulbs, singular or specifically associated to hair follicular islands, to help their growth and development. Technology

Labo Cosprophar has been conducting research on hair follicular islands since 2002. After the first patent (2003) and other innovations in its formulas, in 2015 the researchers defined a formula (Swiss patent 693 816 A5) that cares for every anatomic and functional structure of the hair follicular island, providing an appropriate source of energy to meet the needs of the hair follicular island (which are greater than the needs of the single hair follicle). The components of the “hair follicular islands have an overall effect on the hair follicular island, stimulating cell activity in the hair bulbs and follicles and offering a boost for physiological hair growth. The same active ingredients also have positive properties for single hair follicles, for both healthy and thinning hair.

The Patented Transdermic Technology (Swiss Patent CH 711 466) allows the active substances of Re-Growth, HFSC, Hair Follicular Islands and Booster Complexes to penetrate through the hair system not only via trans-follicular route (follicle opening) but also transdermally (ex vivo test with Franz Cells) through the scalp skin layers (epidermis and dermis). Thanks to their low molecular weight and to the presence of 3 enhancers (Pentylene Glycol, Declylene Glycol, Caprylil Glycol), the functional active ingredients are facilitated in their penetration and in their performance.

Can I use Crescina treatment during pregnancy/breastfeeding?

Crescina can be used during pregnancy/breastfeeding. However, because of the peculiarities of this particular physiological condition, Labo usually recommends to inform your doctor about the treatment application.

Can I dye my hair during the treatment?

In order not to stress too much the scalp, it is advisable to suspend the treatment when you dye your hair and to resume the application from the day after.

Is Crescina treatment compatible with other hair products like conditioner or hair spry?

Sure, there are no incompatibilities at all.

Do I need to buy a shampoo of the same products?

It is not essential to buy a shampoo of the same line. It is important, however, to use a mild shampoo: from this point of view, Crescina shampoo guarantees the maximum quality.

How long does the treatment last?

The minimum period of application is 2 months, although it is usually recommended to apply the treatment for at least 3/4 months.

Is it normal to feel a slight itching sensation once the product has been applied on the scalp?

Absolutely yes. The preparation contains a mild vasodilator that may cause a slight heat reaction with reddening of the skin for a short time.

How old should I be to start using Crescina?

Considering the hydroalcoholic-based formula of the treatment and the presence of a topical vasodilator that can cause a slight reddening on the skin, for prudential purposes we would recommend the use of Crescina only since legal age.

How do I apply Crescina Treatment?

Crescina should be applied on dry and clean hair (in the morning or evening, depending on your preference) and left to act until the next washing, preferably recommended not earlier than 24 hours since the application.

Where can I find more information regarding the effectiveness of Crescina?

Crescina makes use of numerous tests. Springer’s authoritative journal “Dermatology and Therapy” has published a study that the researchers of Pavia University Department of Biology and Biotechnologies carried out on Crescina HFSC. The study is available on Open Access.

How soon, after the star of Crescina treatment application, results will begin to be visible?

How to choose between Crescina Re-Growth and Crescina Hair Follicular Islands?

Crescina Re-Growth is suitable for those people with thinning hair problems, and in particular for those approaching the Treatment for the first time. Crescina Hair Follicular Islands, instead, is normally recommended for those people who already used Crescina, for a greater activity on the Follicular Islands and not only on the single hair follicles. Crescina Re-Growth is also recommended for the maintenance (1 or 2 vials per week after the 2-month cycle) while Crescina Hair Follicular Islands is a treatment for those who are more inclined to news and scientific discovery.

What are the differences between Crescina vials for women and for men?

Crescina Man and Woman preparations differ since the formulas are specifically designed for the hair characteristics of the two sexes. For example, men's vials contain a lower quantity of emollient substances as their hair is usually oilier than women's hair, who, on the other hand - by virtue of straighteners, hairdryers and dyes - have drier hair. It is therefore preferable that men use men's vials, while women use women’s vials, although, as you can easily imagine, there is no harm in case of reverse use.

Are Crescina preparations always effective?

The essential condition for Crescina preparations to act effectively is that the bulbs inside the hair follicles are not completely atrophied. Thinning must be caused by physiological and non-pathological causes, such as cicatricial alopecia, alopecia areata, etc. In addition, the product must be used for a period of not less than 2 months.

Crescina preparations contain a mild topical vasodilator. Is it possible that the application of Crescina causes an alteration in blood pressure?

Absolutely not. Crescina is a cosmetic product and does not enter the circulation but performs an external localized action. The topical vasodilator is useful for reactivating the superficial microcirculation in the scalp.

Does Crescina weigh hair down?

No, as it contains a hydroalcoholic base that dries quickly and leaves the hair not greasy nor heavy.

Do I always have to wash my hair before applying Crescina?

We suggest to apply the preparation on a clean and dry scalp in order to facilitate the penetration of the active ingredients. However, it is not necessary to wash your hair every day, unless the scalp is particularly oily or with dandruff.

Does the treatment also affect atrophied follicles?

The Crescina treatment can act on dormant but not completely atrophied follicles.
